This is a from-the-ground-up reimplementation of Zack Freedman's divided Gridfinity boxes using CadQuery instead of Fusion 360. See this video for further information about the project:

This version is customizable in CadQuery so you can generate custom sized divided boxes, including ridiculously large ones like 10x10 boxes etc. I have included a random selection of grid sizes from 1x1x2-high up. These should be fully compatible with the official boxes/grids. You can also fully customize the X Y and Z unit sizes AND the number of dividers on X and Y separately!

I re-implemented this because it seems like a perfect fit for an open source CAD software like CadQuery. With that in mind I have also released the source code python script that was used to generate the STLs. I would love for others to help me create new organizer bins and/or re-implement organizer bins in open source CAD software like CadQuery or OpenSCAD.

I used CadQuery/CQ-Editor to design this with a recent version checked out from github on April 13th, 2022. Unfortunately CadHub.xyz does not have a recent enough version of CadQuery to render this properly (n.b. the issue is with lack of a combine argument in the older version of the eachpoint method).

This is a Solidworks parametric version of the Gridfinity Baseplate (Heavy and lightweight) from Zack Freeman form Voidstar Labs.

This file is fully parametric, you can change de variable values in the "Equation" folder or modify everything in the FeatureTreeManager.
I have added a few extras feature to the original design. Please locate the "Optionals" folder and try the followings:
-Toggle between the Heavy and Lightweight version by supressing/unsupressing "Lightweight-Cut" feature or change configuration
-Toggle an extra contour to make the grid precise fit your drawer by supressing/unsupressing "Outer-Edge-Thickness" Feature. You can change the X and Y values individually in the equation.
-Toggle between engravable coordinates for each grid unit by supressing/unsupressing "Coordinates" Feature. The font side and depth might need to be fine-tuned.

Gridfinity N Scale Train Display Box

N Scale Gridfinity locomotive engine and train car storage/display boxes. Contains a 3D set of rails to mount your train car to. I would suggest using the magnets in the base if attached vertically on the wall. Grooves have been included to add a 1mm clear plastic cover piece if wanted.

Print in place with no supports. I use 6mm brims to keep the print from warping off the plate. I use 15% gyroid infill and .2 layer height with a .4 nozzle.

1x2 , 1x3 , and 1x4 unit sizes available.

**Print Settings:**

- No supports should be required
- Both have been printed successfully with a 0.28 layer height (0.2 may make the Hextraction logo at the front of the mount look nicer)

**Fewer loose balls are just TWO prints away:**

- x1 - HexBallCatcherMountV1 (Once printed, place the 2 extraction end-zones on top)
- x1 - HexGutterRampV1 (the two prongs should easily slide into the back of the mount)

**Why use the mount?**

- Like me, you're tired of balls going everywhere and want to play instead of chasing them
- You don't want the board to be as steep and want to flatten out the end-zones

_Known Issues (future version may fix these issues):_

_- The game board occasionally slides backward off the mount
- This model will not stand on its own until the balls or game board are placed on top_
