Earth Desk Lamp

Hey!
This is my Earth Desk Lamp.

You will need a lamp socket, and a bulb. I like to use a Multi color LED. These parts will only work with this Lamp Socket from Ebay. (it has an EU Plug)

Print Settings:
You only need to print the numbered files.
Earth: Use a 0.4 mm Nozzle! or a line height of 0.2 mm and a width of 0.4 mm.
Domes are quite hard to print. I always slow down the layers at the top to 50% print speed (at layer 670).
Use 100% infill with concentric infill, or set your wall count to something ridiculous like 40.
Any Basic white PLA will do the job just fine. I used Sunlu White PLA+ if that helps. Don't try Matte or glitter stuff, it will not work.
No supports!

Holder:
Print with supports.

Hybrid Hanging/Desk Earth Lamp

Introducing the mesmerizing Hybrid Earth Lamp. With its versatile design, you have the option to either screw the legs out and hang it from the ceiling or use the convenient leg holder to keep them safe when not in use. (it's kind of pointless for this model earth will be upside down if you hang it from the ceiling)

To bring the Hybrid Earth Lamp to life, you'll need a lamp socket and a bulb. For an enchanting display, I recommend using a Multi-color LED bulb. Depending on your location, you can find suitable options through the following links:

Print Settings:
To create this, you only need to print the numbered files. The additional files are included in case you require separate prints. When printing the Mercury model, use a 0.4 mm nozzle or set a line height of 0.2 mm and a width of 0.4 mm. The domes can be challenging to print, but I recommend slowing down the layers at the top to 50% print speed (around layer 670). Achieve optimal strength by using 100% infill with concentric infill, or you can set your wall count to a higher value, such as 40. Basic white PLA works perfectly; I used Sunlu White PLA+ for my model. Avoid matte or glitter filaments as they may not produce the desired effect. No supports are required for printing.

For the legs and plate, no supports are needed. For a visually appealing result, try positioning the seam on the inside of the legs. Feel free to choose any color that suits your taste.

Globe Bearing Version

Hey
this is a Globe that actually spins.
You will need to buy some external parts to assemble this.

LED Stripe: You can use any led stripe you can find online, but I would prefer one that can be cut in length.

You will need one regular skateboard bearing.

Be sure to buy one that fits exactly the dimensions this bearing has, otherwise you won't be able to assemble this. I will also make a version of this that descent need a bearing, so if you c ant get one, maybe just wait for that version.

Print settings.
Globe File. This one is the heart of the globe, so be sure to get it right. Print with a .4 mm Nozzle or a layer height of 0.2 and a width.
Turn on supports, but put the threshold to 89C. You don't want to support the sphere but only the insert for the bearing on the top of the inside of the globe.
All other parts don't need special treatment. Print the cap with normal supports and everything else without. If something doesn't fit, maybe scale the parts just a little bit.

Assembly:
1 Put the skateboard bearing on the Rod.
2 Put the big Bearing in the Globe.
3 Wrap the LED strip around the rod.
4 make sure the Cable is in the little hole in the cap.
5 Put the rod inside the Globe with the bearing side up. Push it through the small hole at the North Pole. 
6 Now put the cap in place. Be sure the cable is in the right spot.
7 Push the C onto the stand.
8 Put the globe into the C. It will be a little elastic because of the shape.

That's it, enjoy your Globe!
