Simply slide it onto your belt, pocket or other piece of clothing, slide the tool down and it's alwayss close without taking up space in your pocket or you putting grease in them.

To release the tool simply slide it upwards or to either side. Secure enough for running and jumping in the workshop - perfect for the stressful life of a home or workshop bike mechanic.

Bolt that held the fixed end of a clamp was toast, as well as the plastic caps which housed them. This new set up allows for the easy removal and reversal of the clamp so that it can be used differently. 

I used a 3/8" carriage bolt, and a matching nut: https://www.mcmaster.com/bolts/carriage-bolts-4/thread-size~3-8-16/length~1-3-4/material~steel/finish~zinc-plated/fastener-strength-grade-class~grade-2/
