This is meant to be a replacement to the cage adapter for a Bair Hugger style cage-heater. The part that Jorgensen sells is itself, 3D printed, and is both prohibitively expensive, AND borderline unavailable from the manufacturer. It is recommended to use 1/4" 20 heat-set inserts in the interior side in order to mate to the screws that come with a first-party adapter. 1/4" 20 thumb screws of the appropriate length (≈3-4") can be hard to acquire, so here is a link for the ones I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091DQ53BJ, however alternatives of similar spec are recommended, as these need to have the wings cut down in order to not interfere with the case of the adapter itself. If possible, first-party Jorgensen screws should be used, as they do not have this issue. The geometry is 1:1 with the first party adapter, so they can be used completely interchangeably, i.e. First party interior with my exterior or vice-versa.

I designed mine to be used with PA6-GF Nylon for strength and heat resistance, but this is likely extremely excessive, and PETG or even PLA would likely be sufficient considering the low temps of these heaters.

The padding material can be nearly anything that produces a relatively airtight seal around the cage bars, but I used a high-temp neoprene. This is also likely excessive, as the temp of these should never be above 60C anyway, unless you're autoclaving them in between uses, which also seems comically excessive.
