The Kōshi Knurl Vase | Watertight
Hey everyone, I wanted to share my newest design: the Kōshi Knurl Vase. The diamond knurling pattern naturally hides layer lines and catches the light beautifully, giving it a premium, almost ceramic feel.
As you can see in the photos, I have real lilacs and water in mine. To make it truly watertight, this isn't meant for vase mode. I tuned the print profile specifically to prevent leaks. I bumped the wall loops up to 6, increased the outer wall line width to 0.8 millimeters, and slowed the outer wall speed to 50 millimeters per second to seal any gaps perfectly. I also used 6 solid bottom layers, a 65 percent infill-to-wall overlap, 10 percent gyroid infill, and a contour scarf seam to keep the outside completely clean.
I printed this in Bambu PLA Matte Caramel, which fits the earthy vibe perfectly, but it would look stunning in white or dark green too.
I hope you enjoy it! If it finds a spot in your home, a boost is always appreciated to help me grow this collection. I'd love to see a photo of your make!
