The Kobra 3 overhead mount works for both the Ace-pro and the Ace-pro 2. It is compatible with the Kobra 3 V1 and V2.

NEW: 2026-6-15 Added a universal version of the Ace-pro Ultimate overhead mount which works with both the Ace pro 1 and the Ace pro 2. Please download and use the files "Ace overhead Universal". The only change is the removal of the pads and modification of the top profile on the left and right cabinet (with thedrawers)- no need to reprint the rest. I also added the straight drawer fronts to the 3mf as they were the preferred choice - the slanted ones are also on the 3mf but as option. I have left all other versions there for backward compatibility. I have verified the design but have not test printed it. If there are any issues please let me know so that I may correct them. NEW: The model offers two types of drawer front, vertical and slanted. The main print profile has the slanted drawers as I felt it would add a little something to the design. If you want vertical drawer fronts please use the print profile "Anycubic non-slanted drawers.3mf"

I have been thinking at ways of improving my Ace-Pro overhead mount for some time and I finally got around to it. I wanted to keep it functional while adding numerous new features. This is what I came up with after lots of thoughts and designing.

The Ultimate version offers all of the features of V1 and V2 with the following improvements:

• Two large drawers with GRID-FINITY style compartments (the compartments can be downloaded for free on Makeronline);

• Build plate holder for two or more buildplates;

• Side mounted tool tray (can be can be downloaded for free on Makeronline);

• Side mounted External spool holder (can be downloaded for free on Makeronline);

• LED clips for mounting LED under the Ace-pro overhead mount;

• Re-designed and improved rear extension feet for improved stability;

• Dovetail mounts the sides of the bottom brackets for custom add-ons.

• No external hardware or glue needed for assembly (this is optional)

TECHNICAL SPECS AND INFO

• The build requires a little less than 2 spools of filament.
• PLA and PETG are fine. The design is very rugged so no need to use ABS or ASA.
• The assembled height is 800 mm (31 inches) with closed lid and 1m (39 inches) with the lid opened.
• Unfortunately the parts used for V1 and V2 are not interchangeable with the Ultimate version.
• If you chose to use the LED clips these are mounted using wood screws (see instruction picture). I used a no. 6 wood screw x 1/2 inch (approx. 3.5 mm diameter x 12.5 mm long)

INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT: I have included a print profile (3mf file) for the base unit with all the required parts. I strongly recommend you use this as the parts are correctly oriented and optimized for printing. I have painted support and it is designed to use TREE MANUAL settings.

I have also included a second print profile (3mf file) for the cable and LED clips.

I have also uploaded individual STL files for the parts (many like the 45 degree and middle posts can be used on both sides).
