This is a set of eight replacement Ho‑103 12.7mm aircraft machine‑gun barrels with flash‑hider attachments, designed for 1/48 scale Japanese WW2 aircraft. The barrels feature a cleanly modeled perforated jacket with sharply defined vent holes, providing a level of detail that is difficult to achieve in injection‑molded kit parts due to tooling limitations. This version represents the Ho‑103 fitted with the flash‑hider used on late‑war or night‑operation configurations. Documented use of the flash‑hider was extremely limited, and only a few aircraft—most notably the Ki‑44 Shoki—carried the Ho‑103 with the muzzle exposed. Each barrel is modeled longer than necessary so the user can trim the length to match the specific kit or installation style. The barrels are designed as direct replacements and can be installed with minimal or no modification depending on the kit. All parts were test‑printed to verify general fit, but small adjustments may still be necessary depending on printer differences and kit tolerances.
