This is a 3D model of the snorkel cover for the Tamiya 1/48 Panther D. It represents the snorkel cover used on initial-production Panther D tanks. The dimensions have been adjusted to fit the Tamiya Panther D kit, based on measurements taken from real vehicle photos. Some details on the top surface, such as the bolts, are not fully confirmed on actual vehicles, but they appear in certain reference books, so I included them as optional detailing. Please use it for detailing your Panther D or recreating vehicles seen in historical photographs.

This part was created based on the 1/35 kit and scaled down for use with the 1/48 kit. A circular mesh pattern is molded integrally on the kit part at the mounting location, as shown in the reference diagram. Use the center of this molded mesh as the reference point and drill a 3 mm hole. Remove the surrounding molded details and sand the area flat. Align the guide pin on this replacement part with the drilled hole. Since the exact dimensions of the 1/48 kit have not been confirmed, final positioning and fit may require minor adjustment by the user.
