this uses a spring to hold the ratchet, and the ratchet can be released by pushing up the tab on the spring.

the spring should go on by finessing it into place through the knob side of the rod.

the rod has supports designed to keep the rod from separating during printing, as the rod is printed vertical knob side to table.
