Remix of Blank Can Cup RETURNS! by MandicReally
For my remix I decided to make the koozie insulated, letting your beverage stay cooler longer. This works on the principals of thermal conductivity. Air is a terrible thermal conductor, so by providing an air gap between the inner and outer sleeves we insulate the outside environment from the can greatly. The only interface for conducting heat from the outside to the inside is the TPU ring that separates the sleeves. This could be made of silicone or another material to increase the performance.
I glued the pieces together using Bob Smith Industries Extra Thick Maxi Cure super glue, which is nice to work with as it has a 10-25 second work time before it hardens.
Both 12oz and 16oz files are provided.
- TPU ring is the same part for 12 or 16oz variant
- Multi-part print -100% infill
- Inner sleeve requires support for overhanding top edge. Provided are support rings that work well vs having your slicer build support. Support rings use 28.75g material.
Drop all three parts for the Inner sleeve into your slicer at the same time (Inner sleeve and corresponding small and large support rings) and turn off support in your slicer.
I printed it all in Polymaker Clear PETG, but you could swap colors to whatever you like, although I would advise colors that better reflect light rather than absorb it for outdoor use.
Remix my remix if you wish!
