GOALS: 
Make fang easier to print and install, and more secure without requiring end user to acquire any other hardware. 

DISCUSSION: 
The stock CR-10 fan mount is fine but I thought I would like to try the very popular fang for a little better visibility. Well, I printed it and didn't like the way it came out. So I set about to see if I could make it a little easier to print and install. The biggest problem I ran into was the inside the fan mount where it attaches to the hot end pieces are (for me) too small, hard to print and fragile. Plus even if it does print (mine broke every time), the stock hot end screws are too short to attach through the additional material (maybe I got short screws?) Anyway I edited the mesh (there were some odd um... elements to it and adjusted all but 3 of the mounting holes for a better fit.) Don't get me wrong, like I said great design, I couldn't have come up with it that's for sure, I am just trying to make it slightly more friendly to print and use. This is what I came up with.

OTHER:
Since the OEM blower is pretty weak having two ducts might actually be counterproductive. Enter the half fang, because why waste the time and plastic?

(terrible) INSTRUCTIONS:
Remove fan mount and fans (OEM total 10 screws). Remove heat sink (OEM 2 screws).
Install fang by passing the Bowden tube between the two holes in the rear plate of the fang. Align heat sink screw holes with holes in plate while simultaneously aligning all fang plate holes with those on the X carriage mount while paying attention to the routing of heat block wires. Screw in the two heat sink screws and then the two screws to the left of those on the carriage (use access hole for securing topmost carriage screw). Then attach the heat sink cooling fan (4 screws) use notch on right side for wire relief / routing. Finally, attach the part cooling fan at the top (2 screws).

Horizontal spool holder. Why?
Because I have more bbs laying around than 608 bearings and the bearings I have are junk this rolls way easier. The extruder has a very easy time pulling filament from this design almost effortless. It's kind of like a lazy susan for filament.
I do recommend some tape on the bottom just in case, as the spool gets lighter it may want to slide more than spin.

Note: you may want to scale the nut by 2% in the X and Y direction only, makes it thread a bit easier.

3 versions for flexibility
version 3 is seperate blade from hub.
version 4 has the blades rotated 120 degrees about the hub and unioned.
version 5 is same as 4 except the hub length has been reduced to begin at the beginning of the blades to reduce the need for support.

Fanmount 3 is a polished version of Fanmount 2 with significant improvements in the mesh. It has been a nice learning experience and I am happy to provide this cleaned up version.

Partcooler2 is a remix of thing:1620630 and fits fanmount 3 and 3.1. fanmount 4 has thicker walls and is untested with partcooler 2.

12.31.17 update: smoothed edges, fixed errors, and added hole for nail or tack. Added skeletonized version.

A scaled down sword stand for your kitchen swords... I mean knives. Might be a little too big for some printers, It had to be printed at an angle on my CR-10. It was designed in blender as a means to replace the knife block which takes up counter space and can not be cleaned on the inside where it is likely filthy. This stand takes up virtually zero counter space so feel free to put a cutting board right in front of it! It's light weight and minimalist. One nail in the top center support should hold it firmly if the bottom is resting on the counter plane. Make sure the tabs of the horizontal supports are inserted as to keep the rear (against the wall side) flush with the vertical stands, it will be a snug fit.

The bottom for an Oster blender. Support is included (center circle) so no additional supports are needed. Easy print.

Update 1.8.2021 added V2 version supportless and hopefully improved version. Tested good for sealing the bottom and not interfering with bearing fit. Long term tests to commence.

Printing this as replacement prop for Harbor Freight RC Neptune boat.

I really have no idea about RC boats, or propellers, I just eyeballed the plastic ones that came with the boat and modeled it in blender

Main reason is that this PLA prop is much stiffer than the plastic ones that the boat came with. (apparently it is better if your propellers are not flexible)

The door for my mailbox is currently on backorder with a 2 week minimum wait time. This print took about 4.5 hours at 0.4 resolution. Not perfect but gets the job done.

top center hole is for a screw to be used if the door doesn't stay closed,
middle hole for the handle, I'm just using a screw and 2 printed nuts for mine.

Cut hinge tabs shorter if needed to fit.

Alt version allows for use of screws, this has the advantage of being stronger and also adjustable.

Can be used to mount US electrical devices such as a switch or outlet. The outer dimensions should match that of the faceplate making it slightly more aestheticly pleasing.

5.1.19 added outletbox4 used in the image as a convenient solar panel disconnect. It has not given me any problems so far and has been quite nice to have. I drilled a side hole for my safety fuse but a simple boolean operation can save you the plastic and drill time.
