Special Mounting Platform for 2020 Aluminium profile

The idea is, to provide a modular platform to mount objects on the 2020 Aluminium profile without disassembling the original structure.

Materials needed:

• M3 12mm screws x 6
• M3 20mm screws x 2
• M3 nuts x8

Print recommendations:

• use ABS since it provides better flexibility
• I've printed them on with 10% infill, 3 layers wall and 0.32 mm layer thickness.
• You need to print the 4 copies of the brackets and 1 copy of the mount surface adapter
• sand the rails slightly until you're able slide them with little efforts but still provide good grips between the rails.

Assembly & Mounting recommendations:

• install the mounting surface adapter
• install the nuts and screws, do not tighten the screws.
• put the brackets on the profile and slide them into each others
• tighten the screw just enough to secure the brackets (over tightening will break the brackets).
• if the mounting surface is not suitable for you, you can easily make your own adapter by aligning the 2 screw holes.
