Headphone Holder for ClampDock
A simple headphone holder for the ClampDock system. I created this because my basic screw and clamp 3D printed holder for my headphones quite frankly sucked. As soon as I saw the ClampDock system this was the first idea that came to mind.
There are two files, one with the built-in support, one without. If you choose the one without, you will likely end up with a part that doesn't snap in strong enough to the dock. If the built-in support isn't working for you, use manual grid supports on the little nub overhangs.
Print SettingsFor a 0.4mm nozzle follow the recommended settings:
- Layer Height = 0.2mm
- Line Width = 0.4mm
- Wall Count = 4 (1.6mm)
- Top and Bottom Layer Count = 5
- Wall Generator = Arachne
- Infill = 40% (Cubic)
- Brim = Should not be needed
- Support = No
For a 0.6mm nozzle I used the below settings:
- Layer Height = 0.3mm
- Wall Count = 3 (~1.8mm)
- Top and Bottom Layer Count 5
- Arachne (necessary)
- Infill 40% Gyroid
- Brim for ABS highly recommended, other materials, not so much.
- Support = No
I printed my entire ClampDock system with ABS. I did this because ABS slightly outperforms PETG & massively outperforms PLA in terms of creep. I also used a 0.6mm nozzle, thanks to arachne we are able to use 0.6mm even in cases where a 0.4mm is optimal. I would also like to say I am quite fond of the ClampDock system and hope it grows. There is a lot of potential here.
