creaserra

Hi :)

My name is Javier Serra and thanks to my passion for design and 3D printing I created my own studio: creaserra

I am currently an industrial design and mechanical engineering student based in Madrid.

My goal is to create functional models that benefit from the advantages offered by FDM technology, to share them with you, as well as to learn about this new manufacturing method and develop my skills as a designer, always taking into account the environment. Follow me on my path and let's keep creating together!

Naipe | Hand-fan

Naipe is an innovative fan design that plays with the French deck of cards.

It takes advantage of the ease and versatility of 3D printing to create a stand and refills to the fan in addition to taking advantage of the lightness of the cards for a lighter refreshing effect.

Moreover, the fan can be reduced to the size of the palm of your hand so you can carry it wherever you want more comfortably.

Naipe has been designed taking inspiration from the French deck of cards with four types of suits (diamonds, hearts, clubs and spades) that can be combined and mounted on the stand as you like. The holder is designed to hold a maximum of 8 spades/cards.

To assemble the fan, simply insert the blades into the lower support piece (the one with the hollow tube) and then close the assembly by inserting the other piece of the support. Before inserting the blades, I recommend to carefully run a knife or a sharp blade through the groove to ensure that the entire card can be inserted. The cards can be put in and taken out again if you want a more compact fan or vary its appearance, or they can be attached with glue to ensure a stronger hold.

Aside from using it as a fan to show off your style or give you some air when you're hot, you can also use Naipe as a card holder in your Poker games!

3D PRINTING SETTINGS The following configurations are recommended for printing the parts:

Employ support for the blade slots (With support bottom distance= 0) in such a way that a support layer is printed between the bottom and top of the slot.

100% filling

Layer height of 0.15 mm or less

Recommended to print in matte finish filament. You can print the different blades in different colors to create different combinations.
