Ring Solar Panel Gutter Mount
I wanted to power my Ring cameras without running wires through the wall of my garage, so I designed this solar panel mount that latches onto the gutter.
It includes 2 clips that are used to secure a Ring solar panel (or any small device that has 4mm+ through-holes) to your gutters. The clips snap over the gutter lip, so no drilling required. Requires 2 M4 heatset inserts and 2 M4x6/8 bolts.
Compatibility Made for standard 5" K-style gutters — the boxy kind most houses have. If yours are the rounded half-round type or the bigger 6" ones, measure first because they might not fit.
Works well with my Ring Spotlight Camera 45 degree mount!
Hardware
- 2 M4 heat-set inserts (into the clips)
- 2 M4x6 or M4x8 bolts (panel to clips)
Printing I'd recommend printing in ASA so it won't deform in the heat or get sun-bleached. ABS also works if you don't mind some color fading. Would not recommend PLA — it will sag and deform in the heat.
No supports needed — use your slicer's auto-orient to place the parts flat on the bed.
Print Settings
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Walls: 5
- Infill: 50%
- Supports: No
- Material: ASA/ABS
