Because of the limited space my Ender 3 is in, I needed to replace the stock screen mount with one that didn't get in the way of the printer or the things around it. I couldn't find one online which fit my needs, so I made my own!
This mount goes on the front of the right leg of the machine, over where the stock mount would normally screw in. It's at an angle to still be somewhat-front-facing and take up the max amount of space across the leg without running into the print bed. It also has a built-in cable management clip to hold the screen cable out of the way of the print bed.
I wanted to continue using the stock selection knob with my design, which I facilitated using three M2 washers in the well where it slips on. The holes for the display to screw into are threaded M3x0.35 (the same screws the E3 display comes mounted with) and the screws go in with a little effort.
To install, I used 3xM4*6 screws and M4 T-nuts to attach the mount, clipped in the cable and screwed in the display. Once the display was screwed in, I attached the cable and adjusted it to fit nicely, and slipped on the knob.
