VW Bay Keys Holder

I finally designed a model inspired by my beloved VW van! This key holder is fully customizable so you can match the top and bottom colors, as well as the bumpers and pop-up roof, to look just like your own Bay Window.

I’ve uploaded two different types of files, depending on how you want to customize your van:

  1. 3D Version: This version provides separate files for each part of the bodywork. You’ll need to print and assemble them using glue afterward.

  2. Single Print-in-Place Version: This version can be customized directly in your slicer and printed with a multi-material extruder, or by using the “printing one color at a time” technique. The parts are 0.4mm tall, so they won’t interfere with your nozzle during the print. You can check out this video for a guide on how to do it.

If you encounter any friction issues, I’ve also uploaded a version with bearings. It uses the following model:


Printing Settings:
  • Nozzle: Use a 0.4mm nozzle.
  • Ironing: Select the ironing option in your slicer to ensure the flat surfaces are as smooth as possible, minimizing friction with the moving parts.

To make printing easier, the hook is printed flat. After printing, simply dip it in hot water for 15 seconds, then pull it out and shape it to your liking!
