These simple, elegant, and unique double coasters are sure to start a conversation at your next party.

They are designed as a multiple-part model that utilizes the slicer’s infill patterns to create a very strong, porous pad that collects the condensation dripping from the glass. Choose your own infill pattern and density, or follow our instructions to reproduce the ones in the photographs.

Use them as an icebreaker between two guests, for bottle and glass, oil and vinegar… or whatever else comes in two. They also make a great party or housewarming gift.

Objects in the photographs were printed on a standard desktop 3D printer, without secondary operations.

To create the patterns from the multi-part model, refer to the pics and follow these simple instructions.

1. Import both models together into your slicer, and click YES when asked if you want to load the files as a single object with multiple parts.

2. Select the Global mode and choose your slicer settings for the main body as you normally would. We recommend using a 15% gyroid infill for the main body.

3. Switch to Object mode, select the grouped pads model, and set all outer surfaces to zero layers/walls. Finally, choose your infill and density for the drip collection pads. After slicing you will be able to preview the pattern, go back if you want to make changes.

If you like, you can clone the whole model and compare patterns/density before settling on the look you like.
