A folding tile designed to lock the upper tile’s exit either left or right, which is switched by entering the lower tile. Watch the video to see it in action.

Rules Combo Open Me! Setup: Place the flipper in the center hole.

Hardware / Printing

• One M3x10 screw (Can be longer or shorter. Longer is better, Max M3x16)
• Four 6x2mm magnets
• PLA, 2 walls, 10% infill
• Print 2 Links per combo. Print 1 each of all other tile components.
• Bases print with no supports
• Flipper requires supports or can be printed upside down. Recommended to print with a high-contrast color to your board. (Structure = Normal, Placement = Touching Bedplate)
• 1 part and 2 part card variations available.

Assembly

1. Insert a link in a Base’s hinge slot.
2. Jam a snippet of filament into the hinge axis. Ensure the filament isn’t protruding past the Flipper-side wall, then flush cut the filament on the exterior wall.
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 on the other side of the base.
4. Grab the other Base and repeat step 2 for both links, joining the two Bases.
5. Open the combo. Glue four 6x2mm magnets in the magnet holes. Use the + and - for magnet polarity. Allow for glue dry time before closing the combo.
6. Install an M3x10 screw into the flipper from the top side. Ensure the screw doesn’t protrude past the bottom of the flipper.
7. Test closing the combo with the flipper placed in the Lower Base’s path. Also, play test the combo on the board, refer to the setup rules. When a ball enters the upper tile at high speed, the Flipper may flip to the other side. Unfortunately there’s currently no fix at the moment, sorry!
