Small Thread Clip - Horizontal (Folded)

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

This part has a Clip which connects to a Clip Hole. The opposite side has a small thread that fits into small thread holes.

This listing has two orientations of Clips: Vertical and Horizontal. The arrow on the back of the thread should point upwards. (If you have very old Tiles, Vertical becomes Horizontal, and viceversa)

To screw this part fully in, you may need a tool like pliers or the Clip Tool.

Printing Guidelines:

Use 3 perimeter wall thickness, 0.2 mm layer height, 15% infill, and no supports. Apart from that, use your printer's default settings.

The printing orientation is as provided in the file. Make sure the downloaded files are .STL. This part has been designed with a tolerance of 0.25 mm. Your printer will need to be able to bridge gaps of up to 30 mm for some designs.

I'm a supporter, and Multiboard has filled my life and my spaces, but it would be good to see examples of canonical usage of these parts (3d rendered is fine). I know that's even more work but it would be super helpful. Meanwhile, if/when I make something with these, I'll post a make :)

I am not a supporter more than spiritually. You use it to connect one end to a small threaded hole and the other to a clip slot like you find on the side of beams, plates, and the new multiboard boarder tiles.

I'm a supporter as well, and I'm also confused as to what this does

You can use these to attach a part like the triangle octagon plate to the dual clip holes on the edge of anything that has small thread holes. If you look at the free standing board in the "Multiboard Demo Pack" you can see it in action. A dual clip is not going to survive well under rotation, and it really takes a minimum of two to prevent that.

These go into the supports giving more stability to bolt locked shelves, thread side into the support, clip are out. Then you snap it into the small thread hole on the underside of the shelf for the top connection. There's another version of this where you can make it a little more rigid by inserting a filament piece and snipping it flush.

I could be totally wrong though lol
