Locking Bolt (Folded)
Use the Locking Bolt to secure your board onto the Bolt-Lock Mounts. Screw them into place using a coin.
Printing Guidelines:
Use 3 perimeter wall thickness, 0.2 mm layer height, 15% infill, and no supports. Apart from that, use your printer's default settings.
The printing orientation is as provided in the file. Make sure the downloaded files are .STL. This part has been designed with a tolerance of 0.25 mm. Your printer will need to be able to bridge gaps of up to 30 mm for some designs.

This bolt needs to be longer. Any word on when there will be a new version?
I have been 3D printing for maybe 6 months and I recently stumbled across Multiboard. I am one blown away that so much is completely free, and two I think it's incredible how dynamic this system is. I can make something that fits my needs to the "T" without spending hours toiling away on CAD software to develop something that would need to be iteratively designed, tested, and developed and frankly may not compare to the quality of all of this free stuff. Thank you for sharing your project!
For the 8x8 bracket bolt locked (the heavy duty shelf) use the new flush mount heavy weight snaps https://thangs.com/designer/Multiboard/3d-model/Heavy%2520Weight-Bearing%2520Hook%2520Snap-1311032 and then the above folded bolt locker will be long enough. So I suppose it will work with the other flush mounted snaps for other applications where a longer locking bolt would be needed.
thats so stupid and completely reduces the modularity which is the whole point of multiboard. Johnathon better fix this. it was clearly overlooked
Can someone tell me how to use this for a tile that is already installed on the wall? You can't get to the back anymore. So, do you have to plan ahead and install these before mounting to wall? I'm trying to hang some shelves that require you to bolt lock.
To give an example, if you are going to mount a bracket to the tile, you would add the snap to the bracket and secure it with the locking bolt and then mount it to the tile. Should work for anything that is "Bolt-Locked."
Wouldn't be the first time I've missed something obvious, but... what is the advantage of these over the regular locking bolts?
I couldn't get these to fit the brackets. All small threads I have printed have had no problems with bolt lock action, but these were impossible to fit :\
This folds evenly (and thus the threads match up) only about 50% of the time. Which makes half of the printed bolts instant trash. Even when it IS even, it's devilishly hard to screw it into a bolt hole.
I believe the model is fine, Ive printed a few dozen of these and all folded perfectly and screwed in with no issues. Maybe try to decrease the layer height to 0.1 or so, should smoothen out the threads. Also, you could try heating up the fold line before folding - should increase consistency as well.
Printing at 99% helps with the fitment as well. No WD40 required. Of course then there's a zero percent chance the holes will work for the filament lock "feature".
A bit of PTFE WD40 helps with the screwing
Posted a remix for this for attaching the tiles to the brackets using DS snaps
Longer one coming this coming week
weeks not months
so how long is a week to you?
Is it here yet? I would really need a longer bolt, I want to Bolt-Lock a 8x8 Bracket to an offset Snap and the screw is just not long enough. Thanks in advance

none of the links you've attached to peoples comments work, it goes to a dead page
just wondering is there any longer thread version or original step file, as I'm using DS
Longer one coming this coming week
Is it posted somewhere?
I'm new here, where can i find the longer bolt
Update?
Still looking for the longer version. Mine keep pulling out when trying to install on mounting on the wall multiboard
Here you go. I couldn't wait: https://than.gs/m/1355017
Multiboard is great. When Multiboard decides wholistically reiterate overnight after I have spent countless hours and material on the system drives me nuts...
Hey @kenbrunner84 the link you shared shows page not found. I am needing the longer locking bolt if anyone has it. If not I will make one. I am currently swapping my HSW going to multiboard. The main reason was for the sturdy shelf bracket and now I cannot install shelf lol. Thanks
Did it get taken down?
