Half Fix Point - Fix Point Bolt-Lock

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

A Half Fix Point is escentially a Fix Point cut in half so it can fit in a smaller Fix Point Hole. It has the same function as a regular Fix Point.

This part connects to a Snap and is bolt-locked from the back using a Fix Point.

Printing Guidelines:

Use 3 perimeter wall thickness, 0.2 mm layer height, 15% infill, and no supports. Apart from that, use your printer's default settings.

The printing orientation is as provided in the file. Make sure the downloaded files are .STL. This part has been designed with a tolerance of 0.25 mm. Your printer will need to be able to bridge gaps of up to 30 mm for some designs.

This object is part of Multiboard, a FREE and ridiculously modular organization system with thousands of parts to create the most adaptable workspace possible. Learn more and find ALL the parts at https://multiboard.io

It's really not clear what bolt-lock we're supposed to use for this. The Mid Hole Bolt Locker is at least 1 mm too long (but longer if you account for the slant on this part) and bottoms out before keeping the part tight. The 9 mm Small Thread, Flat Head, T-Bolt is about .75 mm too long (still also longer if you account for the slant on this part). The Double-Sided Multipoint Bolt-Locker does appear to be the correct length, but it doesn't work in a flush-mount situation nor with the newer, thinner snaps.

This one https://thangs.com/designer/Multiboard/3d-model/2%25C2%25B76%2520mm%2520Offset%2520-%2520Small%2520Thread%2520-%2520Multipoint-1158287. Description is right but misleading, since there are so many multipoint things.

The Offset MP is only required with Raised Snaps. A regular Small Thread MP is fine with Flush Snaps.

Warning: using these will make it suddenly important whether or not your grid tiles are "right side up". There are currently no indicators as to which side is up on a Multiboard grid tile.

  1. These connect to Snaps, which are then snapped into Tiles. Because of that, the orientation does not matter.
  2. While you have to know it, there is an indicator. The thread indents in the holes are oriented so that the side with a single indent is up.
