Flush Large Thread - Lite Fix Point (Folded)

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

Fix Points allow for fast and easy installation and removal of any accessory part while still being sturdy. This is a "Lite" Fix Point that is thinner than a regular Fix Point and makes Multibins fit flush against the Tile.

This is a “Flush Big Thread” Fix Point that can screw into the big holes on the Multiboard Tiles and fits flush against the Tile.

Attach parts that have a negative Fix Point or Rail, like "Rail - Multibin Shells" or other accessories.

Printing Guidelines:

Use 3 perimeter wall thickness, 0.2 mm layer height, 15% infill, and no supports. Apart from that, use your printer's default settings.

The printing orientation is as provided in the file. Make sure the downloaded files are .STL. This part has been designed with a tolerance of 0.25 mm. Your printer will need to be able to bridge gaps of up to 30 mm for some designs.

I love Multiboard and am using it everywhere for vertical organization. However, the Multipoint with hinge design kept breaking when I tried to fold them together (see my photo). So I redesigned the Multiboard Multipoint Flush Big Thread Lite to make it one solid piece instead of the hinge design. Now it is strong.

Hopefully Jonathan (creator of Multiboard) will make an official version of this. Check out his other cool designs at:

  • Regular Multipoints are for the bottom of bins. They work with the sides too, but are less tight than Lite Multipoints.
  • Lite Multipoints don't fit into bottoms of bins

PLA can be quite brittle, the hinged parts will probably work better when printed in PETG.

No question. Definitely print the hinged parts in PETG and they won't split.

Where can I download your version of this Flush Big Thread? 50% of the ones I printed in PLA are breaking when trying to bend them.

You can still use the Multipoint after the hinge has broken. It's a little tricky until the threads get engaged, but then you drill it in as if nothing happened.

The lite multipoint fits only the half height rails on the sides of the multipoint shells. To mount on the bottom of the multipoint shells the normal full height multipoint has to be used.

Lite Multipoints don't fit bottoms? I'm new to this. After watching the getting started videos, I thought Johnathon made it clear I we should use the lite for flush mount with multiboard. I have tried various parts, and ended up here hoping this might be simpler/easier. Also having issues with folding parts breaking/X1C/bambu matte pla (recommended on multiboard). Will try PETG for hinged parts. So far, this system is extremely frustrating & confusing to beginners. Steep learning curve.
