I created this model to be used as a paint palette for mixing acrylic paint, but it can be for all types of paints. With the closing lid and TPU seal it is created to keep the paint from drying. In this way the paint waste is reduced. You can mix in more paint and you can use the previously mixed paint next time you start painting without it being dried. So you also are sure that you have the exact color mix as previous time you started painted. The case is print-in-place, with integrated clips and TPU seal band for keeping the case closed and keeping the paint from not drying out. The containers for the paint are also detachable so so the paint palette can be configured you want. Fusion360 file is also provided. In this way, new containers can be created and also the the case can be personalized, with a custom text on the lid (Sketch16 in the Fusion360 project).

The size is:

  • for the case: top and bottom each have 200mm X 100mm; - containers have the size of 185mm x 43mm. Also there are containers with 1, 2 or 4 holes divided evenly;

In the Fusion 360 project: - containers and TPU seal can be found in the Bodies menu; - Top and bottom are components; - customization of the name is Sketch16 and box around name is Sketch14 (can be seen in the project picture);

I printed this in PLA and the seal in TPU on my Creality Ender3 V3 KE printer. The tolerance for the print-in-place hinge is 0.35mm. Also the case can be printed in one go on a buildplate that is 220mm x 220mm (this is my buildplate size). Other print settings: - Material : Sunlu White PLA and Creality TPU; - Layer Height : 0.20mm; - Print Speed : 300 mm/s; - Infill : Gyroid 15%; - Print temp : 220°C; - No support needed;

*Note: the notch that can be seen in pictures on the bottom of the case is my fault for not cleaning the buildplate before print. 😅
