LEGO Minifigure Stackable Stand / Shelves - 6 Main Variations For 2-8 Characters!
Running out of shelf space I wanted to create some shelves for my loose minifigures. These minifigure shelves are stackable up to a level you are comfortable with with many variations on the core design available.
Use long 1 by X plates to join minifigures together, allowing you to transport the shelves even upside down without losing your minifigures without glue!
Many variations available! There are many variations ranging from 2-8 characters per shelf, leg/support density, options for 1-2 stud distance between character tiles, thick versions for characters with large accessories or pets, and versions with additional space for tiles behind the main one for pets. Including models for a non-stackable base for over 280 parts to choose from!
Use a Base, Main, and Top parts combined together to make a full set of stackable display shelves. Use the Base_Top parts for a non-stackable stand!
I have added several part variants for viewing as examples. Check out the provided zip file for even more variants!
LEGO Parts Here is an example list of LEGO parts I used when adding minifigures.
- PLATE 3X4 WITH 4 KNOBS - 6076678
- PLATE 1X12 - 4514845
- PLATE 1X6 - 366626
- PLATE 2X4 - 302026
Your configuration will vary based on variant chosen. The 6 character length variant I use requires six 3x4 character plates, two 1x12 plates, and one 1x6 plate. Using longer plates allows for more stud connections.
Print Settings (Core One L) Here are the settings I used to print on a Core One L.
- Filament: Sunlu Black PLA
- Layer Height: 0.15mm
- Infill: Gyroid 15%
- Supports: Snug supports with 0.2mm distance with support blockers on the leg connection points for full pieces. No supports needed for base pieces.
- Orientation: Laid on side for shelf pieces.
I print four regular shelves, one top shelf, and one base in the 2x3 two stud configuration. Resulting in a total print time of 15h 43m using 337g of filament ($5.06) across two print sessions. This gave me enough for 36 minifigures on a single shelf set. If you prefer, you can get away with higher layer heights and lower infills. I just prefer a little extra rigidity.
