Model originally uploaded to Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3149324.

Enchanted Fairy Door and Window. Can be scaled to suit. Door height is about 115mm

Change filament during print for Door handle and hinges then for bricks frame colours.

The model was a lot thicker when I printed this example.
I reduced the thickness to save on time and filament. Will test this and also included a version with small holes to aid in permanently fixing to wall or whatever. Have not tested this version yet.

<B>TIPS FOR CHANGING FILAMENT DURING A PRINT</B> Your layers might be different to mine so check them first. For the Door object...Pause at layer 9 and layer 29; if you want to have 3 different colours. For example Brown first. Then pause at layer 9. Change filament to Silver. Finally at layer 29 pause and change filament to another colour of choice (would be the bricks and entrance).

For the Window object....Pause at layer 5 and put window frame filament colour in.

I use Cura from <a href="https://ultimaker.com/en/products/ultimaker-cura-software">Ultimaker</a>. <b><I>In Cura, you can add these layer pauses. </I></b> Goto Menu/Extensions/Post Processing/Modify G-Code. Add a script.
Pause at Height.
Drop down the first Option -Pause at height. Change to layer. Then key in next option the layer height. Click Close or Add a Script if you need another layer change. <i>MOST</i> important tip if you do this.....Turn these off after you save your gcode....or it will go onto all future objects you save to print!! :-O

<p><B>On my Anycubic i3 MEGA</B>, The pause g-code mod works. I just wasn't sure how to resume! I changed filament then switched OFF the printer. Switched back on and went into Resume print and selected the print i was doing.. It continued the last print!! Sweet!</p>

If your using OctoPrint...Then simply click to resume, when you have changed the filament.

Other options are to just manually pause it from the screen as its printing......

Definitely interested in what your print turned out like?
