Hi,
which outer wall speed did you print? did the variable layerheight work? in the provided 3mf it should all be set to 100mm/s. But since you are using the A1, i suspect the cooling is not adequat for the steep overhangs.
So you can try two things, first: print slower, set cooling to 100% and, check the variable layerheight (maybe even extend the 0.08mm region) i can do that, if you dont now what i mean.
as last resort, we can try to print it with supports
Thanks for the reply, as it's a 7.5 hour print I didn't want to start playing with settings that I only saw the effects of after 6 hours or so.
I have a print running now at 50% (wish Bambu allowed me to easily specify something a bit faster)
I now have a print running at 50% with a filament that I don't really use a lot, if that gives an improved print I will update this post and start a print in the proper glow filament.
I don't mind the print time (much) and reminds me of my Neptune 3 Pro.
let me know, if you had success :)
Hi, not yet printed any of your Planet models so far. But I would like to know if there will be some Big Models of Earth and Mars, like the moon one. I would like to build all of them with the Ikea E14 Strala. And of course moon can't be bigger than Earth, right? ;-)
I'll add this to our ToDo List :) a Big Earth would be really nice, indeed , but i have to look what we use as base
I really want to make this model along with Mars and Saturn. Did I miss the colors you used, or can you list the names of each model? Thank you.
Mars uses the same marble filament, as the moon, but with a red diffusor in the LED, and Saturn uses some mamor brown (should all be linked in the description and readme.md)
Hello and a wonderful start in the new week. I have some questions. At first I use AnycubicSlicerNext (for me looks exactly the same as bambuStudio) My question is, how do I "set" the adaptive layer hights to a specific region of the model? I didnt find it in both manuals anycubic or bambulab. I can klick on "adaptive" and thats it. Ans my second question is, I get a warning of floating regions because the first layer at the base isn´t a complete ring. So over all, what did I do wrong?
Hello :)
Hi, multiple tests and I had to move the variable rate down to the North coast of Spain so just below Newfoundland.
Also another area to cover New Zealand as there is a hole that appears off the West coast
Bginning to think it may have ben easier easier to slice at 0.12 (as the time difference on the A1 isn't huge) or even at 0.08 and just the print time, just glad that the A1 can do a good job for the price (wouldn't like to look at how long my Neptune 3 Pro would take.)
if you like, i can try to make a thicker version as well, but i fear, that the overall light effect would be worse....
OK so printing at a speed of 50% with 100% fan gave me a perfect print up to a little below wheree the variable layerheight starts then theres gaps and bvery thin areas.
Without as lamp inside it looks perfect, the imperfections are visable from over a metre away.
Any ideas about how far to bring down the 0.08 layer height, Scotland, Denmark or ???
Thanks for your patience

hi,
i would bring the variable layer height down to the island of newfoundland (or below great brittain) this should help a lot.
Can you do this? or shall i give you the file?
Hi, sorry about the delay (was ill for a few days) and have a couple of great prints now from the Bambu A1 Took a bit of playing about as having the variable layer starting at the Bay of Biscay left noticeable markings. So set it for a 0.12 layer height and added the 0.08 variable layer height again
Also have great prints of Mars an the Moon models despite the Polymaker Marble not liking the slower print speeds (multiple nozzle blocks at 3 hour mark) till I tweaked the filament profile a little
Thanks for the update
