I am stoked to release my newest dragon design! I named her Atria after the Atria star. Everything that's included in this release:

✨ Atria ✨ 2 prepainted 3MF files ✨ Egg with twist closure

Atria was tested down to 50% but I don't recommend going below 60%

Please make sure that when you are editing the 3MFs that you are NOT painting the eyes, with the paint tool. They are split to parts and painting them will create uneven paint lines. Instead please assign color to them from object list located in the left side panel

The egg

I took some extra time to work on a new egg closure. I always have requests for a twist closure and I finally took the leap to create it. There are two ways to close, you can twist right for a quick closure, or twist left for a longer one.

There is one possible issue with twist eggs, they require proper tolerance configurations. During testing my testers experienced the top of the egg being a bit loose, and then there were tests that came back perfect. The tolerance is going to depend on many factors like different brands and types of filament being used, printers, and flow settings.

I have included a tolerance test for the top of the egg. You can print the bottom and then if you wish print the tolerance test of the top to see if you need to scale the top of the egg up or down depending the tolerance test result. I recommend scaling 0.5-1% depending on how loose or tight the egg is.

Tolerance testing may not be necessary, all the tests came back with functional eggs even if they were a bit loose.

If you are finding that the egg is tight to close, you can add a bit of lubrication like the kind you use to lubricate the rails of your printer on the main thread, then wiping it off.

The small egg in the pictures is 60% scale, I did find that for me the top was just a bit tight at that scale, I applied lubricant to the thread and it made it easier to open and close.

I found using 2 walls, and 5% 3d Honeycomb infill (bambu slicer) to be sufficient for the egg. Please use Arachne Wall generator setting if you are using bambu slicer to print the top of the egg.

100% Atria Fits in 100% egg
