Modular chessboard
A (relatively) simple chessboard composed of interlocking pieces, partly to get around the limitations of smaller build plates but mostly to get around the tendency of black filament to bleed into lighter-colored prints. The board is also designed so that only the black squares have the internal structure that might show through with white filament.
I've designed these pieces to fit together precisely only if all parts are printed with the top side down; if they're printed another way, I can't say how well they'll fit. This does mean the white squares will need supports.
As a bonus, I've included a couple tools I've designed for this specific model, one for assembly and two for disassembly. The first is fairly simple, just a shaped tool to more easily press stubborn pieces together. The second is a bit more involved and a bit more necessary if you ever decide to swap a piece of the board out for any reason. The third tool, the widest of the three, is meant to be used as a backing for the second, but it's a little difficult to align properly, so I honestly don't use it much. Still, maybe it'll help you.
