Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with a rendition of the sketch that started it all!
The Ninja Turtles began on a late night in Massachusetts with Eastman and Laird drawing silly things to make them laugh. That session grew into stories and toys that have touched us all for so many years. I can't think of a better moment to commemorate for Ninja Turtle fans. Capturing and sharing those moments of creative inspiration is why I'm working in sculpture.
- Please use the "Download All" button to get the files I've prepared. If you download a converted file using the dropdown arrow, you will not get the file I've prepared for multicolor printing.
- For the sketch effect, it is important to move the "body" and "lines" for any part together. Assign the lines to a dark color and the body to a light one.
- If you're using an AMS machine I highly recommend using new DEV settings added by BAMBU in 1.9.1 to dramatically reduce filament poop. SETTINGS VIDEO HERE
- Printing upright produces way more waste and poop than printing the model with parts arranged flat on the buildplate.
- I've prepared several files to help compatibility with various slicers. If you run into any problem getting these onto your printer, Jump onto My DISCORD so I can help you out and address issues for future users.
Assemble
- Fairly simple model, but it's minimally keyed so you will need to glue it together
- if you have balance issues it may help to print the Shell with lower infill and print the Feet and Belly more densely.
Be Radical!
- Please "Heart" the model if you print it.
- I'm printing in Black & White, but I'm betting this will look pretty cool in other colors. Send me pics if you do.
- Share your print and paint jobs with me by posting makes here, or on My Social Links.
