Another exercise in photogrammetry.  These are 3 penguin statues as an installation 'We Are Not Alone' by Parry Jones, in the Exchange area of Dunedin, New Zealand.

As these were bronzes statues they ware quite reflective thus difficult to scan & process properly. Unfortunately not as good as a non-reflective subject.

Taller print was first draft at 0.2mm and keyring version shown at 0.1mm and printed at 66%

This is from a Tandem Skydive with NZONE, Queenstown, NZ. Time to print your own souvenir! 

The topo map part of this comes from the LINZ 8m data, with the Tandem jump pair derived from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4169041. 

Scale is 1:150000, which means for a 15,000' jump height, the length of a rod to hold up the jumpers at this scale is just on 30mm - conveniently the length of a sewing pin. 

The embossed logo has been moved to the actual jump point in the stl. This was an update after I'd started the original print run, so the print image looks slightly different to the stl.  Also added a version without the logo.

First try at photogrammetry, this was an angel from a cemetery headstone in Dunedin's Northern Cemetery.

I took approx 100 photos around the object on an overcast day, then pushed them all through Meshroom (free).  I've left the uneven base on and let you decide how much of that to print: use a small negative Z value in Cura, or slice a bit off in a 3d editor.

Print is a 150%, 0.1mm.

My first GPS was a Garmin Etrex Legend ('Little Blue') many many years ago, used for geocaching. I always loved that device and this is a bit of a homage to it, and intended as a cache trade item now. 

The compass area in the middle is designed to fit a 12mm button compass, readily available of Aliexpress or Amazon. It fits snugly, but I still use a dab of glue just in case.

Filament in the photos is a translucent blue to match as close as possible the original, but a solid colour shows the details better.

Just an add-on for the Prusa face shield for when dealing with children in an otherwise scary situation.  There's nothing like a tiara to distract! 

Gently clips on to the standard Prusa RC2/RC3 (and modified NZ ShieldsUp V2) design.

Print with standard brim.

Modified this for cutting a lot of heatshrink tubing at a specific length by using a pushbar to set the required length.  The pushbar does fit in - just takes some careful flexing at the start then use M3 screw to set and hold it.

Taking ThePlanetMike's excellent little Neighborhood Trolley as a base I remodeled the carriage to match that of one of Dunedin's Cable car carriages, Mornington #111.  Dunedin was the second city in the world to have cable cars, following on from San Francisco's installation.

Car 111 has been rebuilt, and plans are underway to get the original run along High Street reinstated and operational soon.

tierradenadie's clever arm for a camera mount was just what I was looking for but I needed something for a little 808#16 camera so a slight mod was called for.

I also modded the 808 caddy from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:936354 to have the gopro flanges on the bottom.
