The Lament of Cymon Lemmen. An old script for a play that became wildly popular in Pitchborough a few months ago. It told the tale of a detective of the Pitchborough Blitzcorp Department, Cymon Lemmen, known for his sharp mind and even sharper fists. A ladies' man, he was always tipping his hat and winning hearts, but his true passion lay in striking down crime and dismantling gang operations across the city. One fateful day, love entangled Cymon in its web. He fell for a woman deeply involved in an insurgent cell, terrorists bent on destroying the legitimate enterprises in Pitchborough. Under her influence, Cymon became a double agent within the department, betraying the city that had given him everything. However, the benevolence of the great Balthazar Morris, head of the Morris Inc. Enterprise, brought a new overseer to the department: a Chief Enforcer. The Chief, ever suspicious of Cymon's shady whereabouts, kept a close eye on him for weeks, having been tipped by a mysterious source. Months later, on a cold, wintry night, the Chief and the Blitzcorp stormed an insurgent hideout, finding Cymon and his mistress. A fierce battle ensued, with Cymon attempting to flee alongside his lover through the streets of the Pitchborough. The Chief pursued them relentlessly to the harbor bordering the moor. In a final act of defiance, Cymon and his mistress embraced death, jumping into the acidic waters. The woman's body was recovered, dissolved and deformed, having passed beyond to the borders of life. Regardless of her passing, her body was reanimated to stand trial for her actions. However, Cymon's corpse was never found—only his iconic tipping hat remained. Some believed he had fled, having survived somehow; others thought he had joined another resistance far away. Days after the trial, a shadow started looming through the alleys and streets on moonless nights. Draped in a trench coat, it tips its hat to those about to meet their end—insurgents, thugs, and thieves alike. No one knows its real name, but a title was given to the strange vigilante nonetheless. Thus, with the vanishing of Cymon Lemmen, the enigmatic and relentless legacy of Inspector Cyrus Lament was born
