I have two problems when it comes to organisation in general, and even more specifically nightstand organisation. 
1. I can never get organized without a specific place to put each of my things
2. I tend to crowd any organizer with stuff that doesn’t belong there, leading to a mess.
With my model, I aimed to solve these by creating an organizer with designated spots for each of my items, enough so that it could be used as a nightstand on its own, and without any extra room for clutter. 

The things that I notice about where I, and most other people, tend to clutter the most is on flat surfaces or drawers, where it is easy to leave something and forget about it. With my design, I aimed to eradicate both. With an open to the outside, slim and modern sloping surface with perches only for designated items, unwanted junk has no place to hide!

Features:
1. Apple MagSafe charging opening for IPhone 12+
2. Apple watch charger opening for Apple Watch.
3. Simple yet effective glasses holder that wont hold anything else
4. AirPods nook custom fitted to all AirPods with space for lighting charging cable
5. 2 hooks for keys, mask, sleep mask, etc.
6. Water bottle holder integrated into design
7. Back portion that while it has some room, it is not open to the front of the room, meaning clutter is less likely. This portion is to hold iPads, magazines, kindles, etc. It even has holes for charging cables!
8. Specially designed book stand to keep your page marked. Just drape book over as seen in the picture and you’re good to go!

Printing:
While this is a large model, many have been printed before. If you want to print, divide into two halves, and then split those halves up until you have around 8 or more flat pieces that can be easily printed. After, you can glue to assemble, and if needed, print some support materials for the back. I don’t have much experience with one, but a laser cutter might also work for this.

Background:
I love the holidays, and many of the ideas within. I’ve found, however, that most of them are for Christmas. I celebrate Hanukkah, and with this challenge I wanted to incorporate my favorite Christmas tradition into the Holidays; Advent Calendars, while putting a unique twist on it to add Judaism. The second thing that I hoped to solve with this project was interest. I feel that Christmas, with it’s activities, promises of presents, and fun traditions, is much more engaging for children than Hanukkah’s straightforward rituals repeated eight nights straight. I wanted to add fun, spontaneity, and tradition into each night of the holiday. 

Setup:
You will need to print eight of the base models and one central model. Then, you will need to print eight of the main, smaller, two piece candle assemblies, and one of the larger. Once you have them assembled next to each other, as seen in the final assembly picture, you are ready for the first step. As a side note, I would suggest glueing them all together to create one cohesive model. The first step is to glue the candle outsides to the model. Glueing is not strictly necessary, but suggested, as there is no downside, and it might be the only way to get it to work. Once everything is glued, you can add the presents. Lift up the latches and place the gifts under them. I would suggest increasing the gift value as the nights go on! 

Usage:
Each night, your child can take one of the inner “flames” and “light” a candle. Push the candle all the way down, and turn t lock it in. As the flame pushes down, the doorway to the present gets pushed open. When the flame is all the way down, the present will be open! The locking mechanism is to ensure that the flame stays down and the door stays open.

Trick-OR-Treat. Halloween’s unofficial slogan. But why choose one? You won’t have to with this easy DIY Hallowearables Prank Candy Bowl!

How It Works:
- This design works using a fake hand. When you hold the bowl, as seen in the images, you hand will be inside the bowl, and the hand that you printed will serve as your real hand. This is why finishing the print with a glove or paint is important.
- At first, your hand might feel loose, this will be fixed later and is completely ok.
- Once you put your hand inside, you should cover up your arm until the printed hand with a long sleeve. This makes the illusion more convincing.
- Once you put your hand in, you should flatten it. As you flatten it, your hand should push against the side of the bowl, stabilizing it, and keeping it up on your arm.
- Once everything is ready to go, either put candy on top of your hand directly, for the best illusion, or, if you don’t like a mess, glue candy to the included organiser and place that on top.

Materials:
1. 3D Printer and Filament
2. Either Glove OR Paint
3. Super Glue
4. (Optional) A second glove

Steps:
1. Print Bowl and Hand (Organizer is optional for less mess, but may take away from the effet)
2. Either cover hand with glove or paint to match your skin tone.
3. Secure bowl to hand using super glue
4. (Optional) For less spillage, cover hole in bowl with glove. Attach glove with either super glue or tape
5. (Optional) Glue candy to organizer

Additional Notes:
1. The original hand file was modified significantly
2. All other parts of model are made by me
3. There was no specific reason that I chose the hand that I did. If you have the resources and you want to go all the way, you could even scan your own hand and use the bowl to cut out the hand and make it fit.
