This “Spring Bulb 5” design is derived from the Face Centered Cubic Lattice (conformal to face).
See here for video: https://youtu.be/YckakI1aWEg
The portion of the “Threads” object that fits inside the “Spring Bulb” is designed to accept a G4 socket with a 12VDC Feit Electric LED Desk Light Bulb. The inner diameter of the socket seat is 18mm, so it will easily accept a range of low temperature LED lights.
The outer threads of the bulb will fit into a standard E-26 light bulb base. If you do choose display or use this bulb in a standard socket, be sure that the 120VAC power has been disconnected!
The rest of the “Spring Bulbs” in the series are derived from the follow mathematical forms:
1. Gyroid TPMS (conformal to face)
2. Square Honeycomb (conformal to face)
3. Diamond TPMS (conformal to face)
4. Gyroid (Volume fill)
5. Face Centered Cubic Lattice (conformal to face)
6. SplitP TPMS (conformal to face)
7. SplitP TPMS (Volume fill)
8. Diamond TPMS (Volume fill)
9. Hex Honeycomb (conformal to face)
These bulbs were designed using nTopology.
