The worm segments are connected using an enclosed ovoid joint that creates a firmer and more controlled connection than the “linked rings” joint used in most articulated designs. Print the Worms as oriented flat on the build plate. Once finished, allow the print to cool and then give each joint a small twist to free up the movement. The joints may be stiff initially but will loosen up with a few twists and turns.
Worms are provided in 10, 15, 20 segment lengths, plus a small 3 segment “test” worm. Each length comes in “Tight” or “Loose” versions.
The “Tight” versions will give you the best Fidget Worms. Materials, printers and slicers can sometimes yield slightly different results, so try printing the “Test Tight” worm first. If that works fine, then go ahead and print whatever lengths of “tight” worms you like!
If the joints bind and cannot be loosened even with force, try printing the “loose” versions instead.
