Print Notes

Please print the test piece first to check the fit.

The kumiko parts are thin and designed to fit firmly.
Clean your build plate before printing the small kumiko pieces.

Brims are usually not required, but if bed adhesion is weak, turn on brim in your slicer.

Assembly Note

Most hexagon frames can be assembled with the kumiko pieces first.

For the final opening, attach the last hexagon frame to the ball body first, then insert the kumiko pieces afterward. This makes it easier to lock the final connectors in place.

Estimated Print Time

Print time will vary depending on your printer, slicer settings, material, and layer height.

As a rough reference, the full-size version takes about 30 hours to print on our test setup.
