CURL | Knife Rack
For a while I've been trying to design of large capacity knife rack that prints faster than my previous designs. This CURL knife rack is the result.
On my printer it prints in 5 hours, instead of the 8 to 12h required for my other knife racks. The stand and the V8-shaped knife holder are made of continuous curves layer after layer, allowing your printer to operate at maximum speed throughout the print.
There are 4 rows of 2 slots each, and a long slot in the middle for a chinese butcher knife. Middle slot: (L84mm) for Chinese chopping knife Top row: (W70mm x2) for chopping knives 2nd row: (W60mm x2) for chef knife and regular kitchen knives 3rd row: (W50mm x2) for regular mid-size kitchen knives or chef knife Bottom row: (W30mm x2) for boning knives or paring knives
DIMENSIONS | W 160mm x L 192mm x H 250 mm (stand height is 230mm)
3D PRINT SETTINGS The V8-shaped knife slots need to be printed upside down. The stand prints upright. The feet print upright. (the print files are already oriented properly) The feet are unique to each corner and cannot be swapped around.
Resolution: 0.2mm / layer or less
Wall lines count: 2
Build adhesion type: if you have adhesion issues, use a 4~6mm brim.
Infill: 15~20% gyroid (barely any infill areas, just tiny areas here and there)
Supports: None
