Sunglasses Holder for Car Visor - Print-in-Place

This print-in-place is a great way to hold your sunglasses in the car! When the visor alone is not enough, open this up and easily retrieve your sunglasses. It just slides onto your visor and holds sunglasses of almost any shape and size.

Printing Tips PETG or even more heat-resistant filaments (ASA, ABS, etc.) are strongly recommended, as PLA can often deform in a warm car and PETG can still warp somewhat in hotter conditions. For faster printers, limit outer wall speed to 100mm/s or below to ensure the thin walls print properly.

This model has not been tested under a wide variety of conditions, feel free to let me know of any issues you encounter with your own setup.

I printed the sunglass holder two times and it looked cool. The first one was from PLA and it melted away on the first sunny day. The second one was PETG and died the same way.

Sorry about that, it looks like I underestimated the power of the sun. I've seen similar issues myself. It looks like ABS/ASA or similar filaments are the way to go with this design

I printed this up.. cool design. Absolutely not strong enough to hold a pair of sunglasses though. The center pieces that clamp around the the arms of your glasses need to be thicker/stronger. My glasses just fall to the side.
