Capybara Phone Holder

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

Easy to print low-poly model of Capybara made to hold the smartphone Version v1.3 - 07 VII 2025

There is a front (head in front of the screen) and reversed (head behind phone) model and a full model without a hole for a phone

Additionally there are keyring addons (to front or back) that you can use with a desired Capybara model

If you want to sell prints of this models you can buy a Commercial license (for life) Check a LinkTree in my bio Or join my Commercial Plan where you can sell prints of all of my models on Thangs

Number in file names is a space for a phone in mm For phone thickness of 8-16mm - they are also on the bottom of models to show what size it is after print

To resize the models use the equasion: 'Needed space (in milimeters)' divided by 'model number' multiplied by 100% = 'Needed model size in percent' For example if you need more stable 16mm you can take 10mm version resized to: 16 / 10 * 100% = 160%

May not be suitable for phone set vertically but it depends on phone size and its weight The smaller the gap between the print and a phone the better chance it will not fall Reversed version may be better for this You can also resize smaller version to the bigger size

The gap is cut with 12dgr angle

To make a keyring use a Capybara model of your choice and add there a keyring model (back or front). Version for back can be moved to different place and rotated (for example if you want it on side of capybara) Then merge both models - see a screen from Cura and PrusaSlicer on the last photo Keyring models are with a 'frame', a flat surface that will not be printed. This way it is easy to set it in the right spot with a Capybara - Ignore model 'errors' and DO NOT try to 'fix' the model

Solid version of Capybara (without a hole for a phone) is with a sepparate files that are already with a keyring CapybaraV13-keyring-back CapybaraV13-keyring-front

CapybaraV13-long is a longer version, the same as used for phones It's compatible with keyring addons

HOLES version Models are for a filament string used as eyes - usually a black one Push it in with a pliers, then cut it with cutting pliers or a knife (be carefull to not damage the print or yourself) Then you can use some a heatgun, small torch or a lighter to smooth the cutted end To make it on phone version models add CapybaraV13_eyes-holes-negative-volume as a negative volume (right click on model)

Printed with 0.4mm nozzle NO supports needed 0.1-0.2mm layer height 2-3 walls 7% gyroic infill - just for little stronger print and better stability (will be more heavy)
