TERRA - Custom Terrarium

Introducing "TERRA"

An industrial-looking monolith overtaken by moss and captured within a glass enclosure. The use of metal-filled material allows for an oxidized copper aesthetic. Achieved by roughing the surface of the print using a wire-brushed Dremmel and a solution of vinegar saturated with salt.

After roughing the surface, leave the print in an enclosure with paper towels saturated in the solution for 8-10 hours. For even better results leave for +24 hours.

I printed this design in Protopasta's Copper-filled Metal Composite HTPLA

If you want a slightly different looking aesthetic the Iron-filled Metal Composite PLA from Protopasta would look great as well.

This design is based around the Plymor 3" x 5" Glass Display Dome Cloche.
