My wife has been hounding me for a square mid-century-inspired planter. So introducing The Terra.
So far the planters have been a hit, not just with our members but with their customers. Between comments about how many people have sold and what I'm hearing during my Etsy Shop Reviews, it seems like they have been a great ad to most shops!
Some feedback we received from the early designs was to have a non-wall-mounted version.
So in addition to the 3 sizes (2.75", 3.5" & 4.5") we now are releasing The Terra in 3 styles. Wall Mount, Table Top & Tall Table Top.
The Tall style is hollow down to the bottom to save on Print time and material cost. I didn't like how much dirt it would require to fill up the space and if you were trying to drop in a pre-potted succulent that wouldn't work either.
So I designed a platform that can slide down and stop at the same height as the wall mount and tabletop planter. Allowing you to still drop in a pre-potted plant or succulent.
All the .3MF files have been saved with the objects orientated for best printing. We also included STL files for all parts. We also have separate drip tray files for each size marked at "+tolerance". Some of the early tester feedback was that the trays were too tight for non-Bambu Labs filament.
This new design of coarse works with the same command and screw & anchor mounting brackets.
The command stips I picked up are the "Medium Picture Hanging Strips" (Amazon Link) they have a weight limit of about 12 lbs. So it should have no problem with the 2.75" or the 3.5". Once you get into the 4.5" pot and the amount of soil that it could hold you may want to switch to the screw and anchor at that point.
