Wabi-Sabi

Celebrate the beauty of the unconventional with Wabi-Sabi, a sculptural vase that challenges traditional symmetry. This piece is a study in balance and organic form, featuring a bold, curved geometry that feels both ancient and futuristic.

Design & Concept: I designed Wabi-Sabi to embody the Japanese philosophy of finding perfection in imperfection. The silhouette is composed of a striking, L-shaped volume that appears to rest naturally against a soft, spherical base. The asymmetrical composition provides a different perspective from every angle, making it a dynamic addition to any space. When finished with a Fuzzy Skin texture, the vase takes on a raw, stony appearance that enhances its sculptural presence and mimics the feel of handcrafted clay.

Key Features: Asymmetrical Sculptural Form: A bold design featuring a curved upright vessel supported by a smooth sphere. Multifunctional Art: Works beautifully as a standalone sculpture or as a unique holder for dried flowers and decorative sticks. Tactile Stone Texture: Optimized for textured printing to achieve a premium, high-end "art gallery" finish. Balanced Design: Despite its off-center appearance, the model is perfectly engineered for stability on any flat surface.

Hardware Required: None. This is a single, fully 3D printed sculptural piece.

Printing Recommendations: Material: Matte White PLA or Beige Stone PLA is highly recommended to achieve the sophisticated look shown in the photos. Layer Height: 0.20mm is ideal, as the texture settings will beautifully blend any visible layer lines. Infill: 10–15% Gyroid for a sturdy build. Walls: 3 Walls to ensure durability and a solid feel.
