Design & Concept: I designed the Twist as the flagship of the Forma Vase Collection to showcase how 3D printing can create complex, interlocking volumes that feel alive. The geometry is defined by large, smooth undulations that spiral upward, creating a rhythmic flow of light and shadow that changes from every viewing angle. To achieve the premium, artisanal look seen in the photos, I highly recommend using Fuzzy Skin settings in your slicer. This gives the model a sophisticated, granular texture reminiscent of carved stone or cast concrete, perfectly masking layer lines and turning the final print into a high-end gallery piece.

Key Features: Sculptural Spiral Form: A unique, twisting geometry that balances structural precision with fluid, organic curves. High-End Tactile Finish: Optimized for textured printing to mimic the appearance of luxury stoneware or ceramic art. Modern Focal Point: An architectural statement piece that works beautifully as a standalone sculpture or a minimalist vase. Stable Geometric Base: Features a weighted, structural foundation that flows seamlessly into the twisting body.

Hardware Required: None. This is a single, fully 3D printed sculptural model.

Printing Recommendations: Material: Matte PLA with a stone or marble finish is highly recommended to accentuate the "Forma" aesthetic. Fuzzy Skin: Highly Recommended. Enable "Fuzzy Skin" (Contour) in your slicer to create the realistic, stony texture shown in the final renders. Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.20mm; the Fuzzy Skin setting will ensure all surfaces appear seamless and clean. Infill: 10–15% Gyroid. Walls: 3 Walls for durability and a professional, solid feel. Supports: To ensure the best results, I have included a pre-configured .3mf file with custom support blockers and enforcers. I highly recommend using this file, as the only necessary supports are the ones already placed and optimized within the project to guarantee a clean finish with minimal material waste.
