**Planetary Pencil Container**

I stretched out the [Mini Planetary Container]( https://social.thangs.com/m/53020) to make a pencil container for my kids, which is a remix of the [Original Planetary Container.]( https://social.thangs.com/m/51825)

**How it works**
This container has three separate compartments, turning the knob on top of the container indexes through the different compartments at a 4:1 ratio. This is done with the use of a planetary gear stage on the bottom of the container.  Turning the knob drives the sun gear which causes the carrier to spin which in this case is the inner dividing cylinder. The 4:1 ratio is a result of the planetary gears rotating quicker around the larger 32 tooth ring gear verses the smaller 12 tooth sun gear.  

**Print instructions**
Prints in place, designed for a .4mm nozzle, .2mm layer heights, no supports at 100%.  

Use a 6mm hex wrench to turn the sun gear, if it’s not free after printing. Don't over torque the knob because the shaft is very long and could fail.

**How it works**

Getting ready for those spring time walks with your pups? You maybe in the need for a cute new accessory! This carrot shaped doggy bag holder will help you carry your doggy bags in style!

**Print Settings**
I printed the Bottom with supports going to the stem in the middle of the print and to the overhang in the window. I printed it with 10% infill because it can be printed with mostly with 4 perimeters/shells.

The Top does not need any supports. It should be printed with a heavier infill to support the loop where the clip attaches.

The clip can be printed at a lower infill to help it remain flexible.

**Assembly**
The main holder is split into 3 parts. The Top threads into the Bottom and the Clip helps you to secure it to your leash. The Bag holder has a stem running through the middle for you to put a roll of doggy bags on.

**Alternate Configuration - Bolt Version**

**Other options**

- **Fewer Magnets** - While magnets are recommended for reliable movement, it is possible to use fewer magnets in the toggle mechanism by only adding them to one side. If the slider fits tight enough into the base that it won't fall out, you can also skip the 2 magnets that hold it into place. The magnets that guide the moon disk are very important and should not be skipped.
- **Split Shells** - By default, the top and bottom shells are each designed to be printed as solid parts with filament swaps to create the lighthouse stripes. You can print these shells as individual layers that are glued together.
- **Extra Magnet** - Glue a 3x3mm cylinder magnet into the metal dowel pin hole in the base so that the pin is held in place until the puzzle is given a slap. Make sure the magnet is pushed all the way to the bottom of the hole.

Chunky Bum Sitting Penholder

3D printed screwdriver with a 3D printed locking mechanism. 

Yes It would be easier to go out and purchase a swappable bit screwdriver. But the manufactureres seem to think that I need to fit 800 other bits into the handle so the handles alwasy feel oversized to me. 

I needed a light duty screwdriver for makerspace work and general screwdriving needs. In the tests I have conducted with this tool, it can unscrew most bolts provided they are not stuck, I have also driven a coarse thread screw into a wooden board partway to start it for my drill. It works well for the materials it is made out of. Mine is PLA but PETG would work much better due to its higher layer adhesion.

All parts are swappable if something breaks and a "handle blank" file is included for those who wish to design their own handle. 




!!!IMPORTANT!!! 
This design will only function correctly with impact driver bits. The magnetless locking mechanism needs to use the notch from the impact bits in order to function properly. 

Materials:
1x M3x20mm flat screw
1x M3x16mm flat screw
1x M4x50 socket screw
2x M3 hex nut
1x M4 hex nut

Assembly: 
You will need one of each part that ends with "f". The handle blank is not required but if you would like to customize a handle you are more than welcome to. (I wanna see some meme handles.)

Please check the assembly file for where the hardware goes.
The M3x20 attaches the latch to the shaft, the M3x16 attaches the switch to the shaft, and the M4x50 attaches the handle to the shaft.
