The cauldron is bubbling, the potions are pouring, and this mystical kitty is up to no good.  With a twitch of its nose and a flick of its paws it weaves magical spells that defy natures laws.  

As the time slips away through a long boring day you may find that your fingers are growing quite bored.  You may reach for a widget but it doesn't quite fidget like the fun little friend in your pocket that's stored.  

So put that phone away and delightfully play with this witchy  and whiskered fun companion that can only be known by its true name alone, and that moniker is the **Witch Hat Snappy Cat**.

Witch Hat Snappy Cat is the newest playful pet on the prowl in the Snap-Flex collection.

This articulated fidget toy integrates the Mimetics 3D "Snap-Flex" joint. This allows Snappy Cat to both move smoothly, mimicking the fluid motion of living creatures, AND stabilize in a firm pose, providing a premium fidgeting experience. Each **SNAP** will resonate as a symphony of satisfaction to your ears, confirming your masterful manipulations.

Snappy Cat is the fourth creation in a series of Snap-Flex models by Mimetics 3D, and it's available for free for a limited time.


**Tolerance:**
To accommodate different printer settings and filaments, I’m uploading 3 different tolerance levels for Snappy Cat to ensure that you get the best fitting, most satisfying “SNAP” with each of your prints.

This is the **Loose** tolerance model.  For the other tolerances, please check out the other versions of the model below:

**Print Settings:**
0.2mm Layer Height
3 Wall Loops
3 Top Shell Layers
No Supports, Print-In-Place at 100% scale.  Going any smaller may disable the Snap-Flex joint.

These tolerances are TIGHT and you'll likely have to snap each segment a few times before it's loose enough to snap/unsnap easily. I recommend you use regular PLA or PLA+. ABS might be even better, but I haven't tried it yet.

Silk PLA is a bit softer and may not click as nicely. I'd also be more concerned about silk PLA holding up to the wear and tear.
If you print this in resin, please let me know how it turns out. I imagine you would need a more flexible/less stiff resin for it to work appropriately.

HOW TO SUPPORT

Just add a thick line of light supports around the bottom of the roller, connecting to your raft of choice. It’s that easy.


WHY BUY MY ROLLERS?

My goal is to use as little resin as possible in my texture rollers. My design displaces a cylinder’s mesh on the outside and inside (inside displacement is reversed) to use as little unneeded resin as possible. My rollers are so thin that only around 15.5 milliliters are used, letting you save precious and overpriced resin.

You can also see the texture you’ll be rolling on the inside of the cylinder, letting you easily find the right roller in your collection.


PLEASE

Let me know if the roller breaks on you. I use elegoo space grey 8k resin, which has been holding up fine with my test prints but might be less sturdy with your resin of choice. Leave a comment and I will upload a thicker version to this creation.



3D Printer settings:

115 millimeters tall, 15.5 milliliters of resin used on average.

Print with supports! I use light supports and they come out fine. Please view the link in the description for an example of support placement. It’s incredibly easy.
