3D designing and printing teaches us to expect mistakes, plan for them, fix them and try again. If you are new to 3D printing, you can expect to have more than a few prints that come out looking something like this mug.

Disclaimer: All flaws in this model are intended and don’t represent the quality of the brands shown! Lulzbot makes excellent printers and eSun makes excellent filament. Both are great options for avoiding the 3D printing pitfalls that you see in this print!
