**Ray’s Print-in-place Collapsing Lightsaber**
_Print-in-Place Version_

This Lightsaber is designed to be printed all as one part as a single print-in-place assembly containing both the saber and the blade. It prints 231mm tall but extends to over 1000mm long.

**Printing**
Supports are not required, there is a built in support for the on/off switch. When printing use a .4mm nozzle and set the line width to .43 so the blades are two shell thick. This print is sensitive to first layer height, the  layer seam and extruder calibration.  If this is your first time printing, I would suggest you try the [test print]( https://social.thangs.com/m/23601) first. Make sure the segments are totally free before continuing.  it’s a good idea to make sure your setting are tuned so the blades don’t fuse. The test print is a total of 24mm high so I change; retraction, cost, wipe, extra restart, z-hop, ext.. settings every 8mm.  Then I compare the changes until I achieve the best result.  The removable blade version is a much easier print because you can print the blades separately in vase mode.
