Gridfinity | Caliper Holder - Harbor Freight

Zack's caliper holder is intended for a Mitutoyo caliper.  For those of us with a Harbor Freight Digital caliper, something else is required, so here it is.

Balls going down either side channel comes out the same side. Balls going down the middle channel get trapped until a ball goes down either of the side channels, at which point it gets ejected on the opposite side (resulting in one ball on each side.)

Mega Planetary Egg Container

**Mega Planetary Egg Container**

This egg shaped container prints-in-place and uses a planetary gear stage on the bottom which allows it to open 4 times faster than its turned. 

 This a scaled up version of the original [Planetary Egg Container]( https://social.thangs.com/m/53994), but I have decreased the clearances before scaling it up so they are the same as the original size. 

Its roughly 180mm tall, scaled up 160% of the original.  If you wanted to go bigger I think it would be safe to scale the model even more but I haven’t tried it.  The biggest downfall to making it bigger might be that it would be hard to turn due to the gear ratio. 

**How it works**
The bottom outside shell is the ring gear, the outer top shell is the carrier, and the inner shell is the sun gear.  Rotating the bottom shell  while holding the top shell results in the plant gears rotating inner shell at a 4:1 ratio.  36 teeth of the sun, divided by 12 teeth of the planet, plus one.

**Print instructions**
Prints in place, designed for a .4mm nozzle, .2mm layer heights, no supports at 100%.  There is a 6mm hex hole in the sun gear to free it up the gears if necessary. 
**Remove the brims** 
There are four built in brims attached to the sun gear that will need to be removed, I did so easily with side cutters
