I felt it was inconvenient to pick up my phone and take it off the charger to check my notifications. This allows you to have your phone charging and still be able to look at it. (V2 allows larger micro-usb cords to plug into the wireless charger and the wireless charger to still lay flat on the table)

I printed it at 10% infill and pla and its extremely sturdy, you likely could get away with a lower infill
