Print in black fillament, suggest a 0.4mm layer height. To print in one piece you need quite a tall printer (like the sidewinder X2) but it could possibly be split and printed in two parts then glued together.
This fits inside the tube of the telescope, can be attached with some cable-ties (or drill some hole sin the spider holder and use screws). Slides in when the scope is collapsed and blocks stray light when it's in use.

To install this, you need to use pliers to unscrew the caps of the two rods. However, when you pull out the rods, two ball bearings with springs will jump free! You need those to lock the scope in position. So either take it out carefully and catch the ball bearings, or unscrew the two screws on the sides of the rod gliders, and you can take out the ball bearings beforehand.
What are the dimensions? Sorry if I missed them somewhere.
Did you modify your cap? Mine doesn't seat fully after installing the shroud.
Hi, thank you for the model! How do you install it? What is the best procedure to remove the top part of the telescope?
Which material did you use for the filament?
Thanks!
Did you work it out? I just installed it on mine. I unscrewed the two rods. There are caps with two round indents that unscrew. I just used some pliers and turned the rods.
